She cries when her stomach hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman\u2019s eyes filled with tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSister?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy mom found me when I was small. She said someone bad took me from a rich house, but she kept me safe until she got sick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman reached toward the necklace, shaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inside the tiny locket was a faded photo of a baby wrapped in a blue blanket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the back, one word was engraved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The crowd went silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman dropped to her knees in front of the boy, her expensive coat touching the wet pavement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI searched for you,\u201d she cried. \u201cEvery day. Every birthday.
