“Do you hate Grandma?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m angry with her. That’s different.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he asked, “Do you think Dad loves me?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yeah”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“But it still hurt me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Yeah”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She sat on the edge of the bed. “This is a mess.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time winter came, Noah seemed more like himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
