Anyone passing Chloe Bonnell\u2019s home in Tallahassee, Florida, is likely to notice the same sweet sight in the window. Her dog Atlas spends his days perched there, quietly keeping watch and waiting for his mom to come home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That calm devotion has caught the attention of plenty of people in the neighborhood, but one UPS driver, in particular, started noticing him more than anyone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chloe adopted Atlas after a litter of puppies had been left behind in Tallahassee. At first, she was not entirely certain she was ready to take care of a young dog, but that changed the moment she met him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe came right up to me and wouldn\u2019t leave me alone. I feel like God told me to get that pup because he knew what was coming next. He\u2019s my little saving grace and has been with me through this whole pandemic and virtual teaching,\u201d <\/em>Chloe told The Dodo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atlas arrived exactly when she needed extra comfort<\/strong>. He helped her manage the stress of remote teaching and eased the loneliness of spending so much time indoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When schools finally reopened, Chloe worried about how Atlas would react to being alone<\/strong> more often. He had grown up with her constantly nearby and, as a spirited dog who could play endlessly, she wasn\u2019t sure how he would handle the change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe really, truly loves just sitting in that sunshine and watching the world around him,\u201d<\/em> Chloe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told her, \u201cthat is the most loyal dog I have ever seen. Does he just sit there all day and look out the window while you are gone? Every time I drive by he is sitting right there. Even when I come up to drop off a package he doesn\u2019t bark at me. Most dogs do. I knock and he just looks at me. I guess he is just waiting for you to come home so he\u2019s not bothered by me. Anyways I love driving by because I always see him sitting in the window.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Hearing someone admire Atlas\u2019s gentle personality meant more to her than she could have expected. After such a long day, having someone recognize the quiet love her dog shows<\/strong> every afternoon was exactly what she needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Pup Who Makes More Than One Person Smile<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Without realizing it, Atlas had brightened another person\u2019s daily routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
