A single mother of four decided to buy a used car to get to work. The previous owner asked her to open the trunk when she got home. What she found in the trunk would change her life.

Jennifer was a single mother of four young children. Her husband, Adam, left her when he found out she was pregnant with their fourth child.

“Another child to feed? No way! I’ve had enough!” she said one day. Then she left her trailer and filed for divorce.

Jennifer was devastated. She and Adam hadn’t planned the pregnancy, but she thought she could count on his support during such a difficult time, especially since they were already facing financial difficulties.

When the owner learned that she was raising four young children alone, he agreed to sell the car for $5,000. “If you can buy the car by tomorrow, I can give it to you for $5,000,” he told her.

Jennifer couldn’t have been more grateful to the owner for agreeing to sell her the car at a lower price. She took a chance and applied for a bank loan so she could buy the car the very next day.

Then she remembered the family heirloom her late mother had left her: a gold chain necklace that had belonged to her family for generations.

She teared up at the thought of having to sell it in order to buy a car, but she desperately needed it to support her children in the long term.

Jennifer took the gold chain necklace from her trinket box and walked to a nearby pawn shop. “I’m sorry, Mom. I really need to do this right now,” she said aloud.

While Jennifer was signing the car paperwork, the man discreetly placed something in the trunk. And when she got into the vehicle, he said to her:

“By the way, check the trunk of your car when you get home. I left a present for your children inside,” the man said. Then he said goodbye.

Since Jennifer bought the car, she had been very busy going to work and taking her children to school and daycare, so she completely forgot to check the trunk, until she found a note in the car’s glove compartment.

“I hope this gift will be of great help to you and your children,” the note read. Then she opened the trunk in search of the gift.

At first, Jennifer was confused when she saw only a white envelope next to the trunk. Then she realized it was the same white envelope she had used to pay for the car. She opened it and saw her $5,000 untouched.

The mother couldn’t help but cry at that moment, overwhelmed by the man’s kind gesture. She drove straight to the used car dealership after work, where she thanked Jefferson for his generosity.
