This morning, our team arrived at the shelter to discover a heartbreaking scene a beautiful Pit Bull left outside in a cage.
No notes. No call. No explanations… nothing but silence.
She had spent the whole night alone, locked behind cold bars, scared and not understanding what she had done wrong .
When we found her, she was sitting calmly, her eyes on us… not aggressive, not angry – just lost.
Her body was crisp in the cold, the cage soiled after hours of lockdown.
But as soon as we opened the door and stretched out our hands… something has changed.
She could not resist. She is getting closer.
Wrapped in a warm blanket, she let herself go against us, trembling, seeking solace… but still choosing to trust.
Pitbulls are often misunderstood, judged before they even get known. But moments like these remind you that they feel deeply, love deeply, and don’t deserve to be abandoned.
It needs to be said clearly .
The shelter is not watched at night. When an animal is left behind after opening hours, it is completely vulnerable.
This time cameras have recorded everything and appropriate measures will be taken.
If you are experiencing difficulties come during business hours – 7am to 4pm. We’re here to help, without judgement.
For her… and for all the dogs like her… choose compassion
